She sure does say "like" alot especially for an educated woman, she often sounds like she's trying to use big words that don't actually mean what her sentence then explains.. hmmm...

Before I launch into the reason why we purchase violence, it is needful for me to display my full awareness that satisfying the existence or origin of anything with one single reason is extremely rare. Entertainment is aspirational, polemical, escapist, motivational, and contemplative. Having said all of this, I want to explore a reason that is not terribly comfortable and less explored. I know why we watch violence, why we listen to it musically. It is not an affirmation of violence, no friends, it is a sweet denial. Seldom does one consume things he already feels he possess within his character and ability. Commercialism is an ADD ON. I am not going to buy the Rosetta Stone to teach me English. English is my first and only language as far as I'm concerned. We may be conquered at a later point in which I may need to speak the victor's tongue, but for now I am settled. I am not going to purchase a book on American customs, I have been brought up in them. Purchase, is often done as exploration. I never ate, watched, vacationed in, or attended a concert of fill in the blank. Our recients are often evidence of our curiosity. I think that we purchase violence to make a statement that it is a thing foreign to us. We watch the confessions of a serial killer so as to create a zoo mentality. I watch the thing in a cage, because I am outside the thing in the cage. It creates an artificial distance of the spectatorship. I can't sing, so I buy tickets to watch a singer. I can't paint or sculpt, so I attend a museum. I would never leave a man face down in a pool of his own blood for disrespecting me, I just listen to Lil' so an so who raps about it. This can be a very deceitful exoneration ourselves of real feelings. After all, if you can see or hear something outside of yourself, that must mean the sentiments themselves are outside of yourself. It's not like you can see your lungs or hear the blood circulating in your veins, right? This just a Trojan Horse of a secrete resonance. We pretend to be safely on the other end of our curiosity. We are planted on a riverbank of decency looking across the rapids into a savage land. We are only tourists in wickedness! Listen, I am not saying everyone who watch Saw is a psychopath. What I am saying is that It is not possible to be a neutral observer. We are drawn by ringing bells that go off within our psyche upon brushing up against darker subject matter. It's not always as simple as wanting to do EXACTLY what you hear or see. However, there is some kind of binding tie. Curiosity is fueled by more than a trite need to patch holes in ignorance.

I'm not famous but things I have written are. Natalie phoned me when she got the star wars role, it was funny cuz it was a victory for the coalition of young people. Basically extreme validation that young people have sway at the centre of the universe. Natalie is basically a member of my childhood syndicate. Syndicate the computer game was a huge part of my early life. It kind of set the foundation for who we need to become in a modern world. Develop skillset to obtain global influence from behind a computer monitor. The business and financial side is really small potatoes compared to the ability to shape the human psyche and guide the development of the human race. I co wrote a song in the 90s, and I go on YouTube and watch videos of thousands of people at a concert singing along to it. Its really cool see that kind of energy and involvement in a large gathering.

@May Wu " Where is that classic Hollywood look?" When people say she looks classy or classic or even perfect or good, etc it's common sense to know that this is subjective and it gives a "feeling" of. There is no textbook definition of classic Hollywood. Is Marylin Manroe classic Hollywood? Is Angelina Jolie?! Even the quintessential stars who represent that classic Hollywood look can not keep it up 50%. Is it "perfection" you are probably talking about or there something else you have in mind. To me she is all around classy period.

Yea agreed. I think this is more benign but comes off as creepy for sure. Lots of intellectual people are observers, and the questions and content will be good quality; but whenever their subject they deal with is movies/stars/entertainers etc, I feel like these people start to want to participate in the realm of charisma themselves. This is when it comes across as creepy. They've spent all their time observing and appreciating, so they get certain ideas on what to do, and they know how to calculate in order to emulate and try to "play" at the level of whoever they're interacting with, but we can tell that it isn't "owned" because they haven't lived it in yet... It feels creepy because it feels put-on, like when you watch an amateur self-funded movie/B-movie with actors that aren't that good and some of it feels cringy. It's like that, but when you see someone... both doing that irl, as well as in situations like this, when they're interviewing someone and they're thinking about the next question while reacting to the answer they just heard, our perception detects creepiness because it feels like someone putting on an act while scheming for something else. Especially when the interviewer has a very generic set of expressions vs the intervewee who is more of an established "themselves" character, it makes a bigger contrast. The interviewer here is trying to be familiar and casual in a way that he hasn't "earned" in a sense. We know and feel, especially from her being professional instead of having some previously established/unique report with him, that he is essentially a stranger, but is acting like he knows her, then when she responds vaguely, on purpose, and he tries to push without aknowledging it, seeing it as more of an obstacle than something that she was communicating, which he'd have to respond to first in order for her to even consider opening up about, it tells us that there is something "off" about him trying to seem more intimate than they really are. If analytical, critic types want to start being charismatic and chummy with the actors, they definitely need more time mixing it up and getting a more authentic character.
